Hi I have a site with wp 3.5.2 and I can't upgrade it to wp 4 (too many developments).
which older version of simple press I have to use and If a purchase a plan plugins work even with older version of simple press?
thanks
I would need to do more checking but you would need a 5.2.something for that version of WP. Just need to check the 'something'! These are all available for download in our codex > Installation > Upgrade section.
The plugins however, are a different matter. For that version - now it is relatively old - we would need to regenerate them from old archives which I believe we do have somewhere. I can say with 10% certainty that most, if not all, of the current plugin versions will not work. As much as anything this is because of so many changes in WordPress itself.

what about localization...I downloaded sp-it.po file and generated sp-it.mo.
5.2 doesn't have language installer feature so I manually copy sp-it.mo file into wp-content\sp-resources\forum-language\simple-press but nothing changes...can you help me?
another think in 5.2 version admin there is a plugin uploader so I think there are plugins for this version
Does your WP_LANG setting match? Also bear in mind what language files you are downloading - i.e the core translations are good to have, but most text displayed in the forum actually comes from the theme itself.
each plugin details the required version of simple press to use it... very few, if any, will work with that much older version of sp... also, you are aware there are multiple known security bugs being exploited in that old version of wp, right?
While we have history of our plugins via svn, we cannot readily build older versions of them without a lot of work (like figuring out which changeset in svn is needed)... we mainly provide older versions of simple press for users upgrading to the current version of simple press from way back that may want to upgrade in chunks...
