Is it possible to install simplepress on wordpress multisite subdirectory?
Has anyone tested it on WPMS?
Yes - we have quite a lot of users with WPMS installations.

There is no CSS applied because the sp-resources folder is now in the wrong place. I don't have any experience with multisite so perhaps Andy or Steve could shed some light on why the install didn't work, but the fact is the sp-resources folder MUST be in wp-content. It's where it's expected to be and doesn't just contain themes..
I need @mr-papa to confirm this as i am not that knowledgeable on MS but I do know it has something to do with the version as storage locations for MS changed at version 5.6, So we look at the version and then try and act accordingly. If folders did not get created as expected - and certainly we will NEVER create it in the 'uploads' folder - then the information might be useful to see if we have things right or not.

all of my test installs are in subdirectory so no issue there (vice in doc root at leat)...
assume this is current wp version? not sure why sp-resources would be in wp-content... should not be and not able to recreate... tried a fresh install tonight...
have you redefined the location of the wp-content directory? doesnt look like it from your data, but worth checking... are you using any sym links in your unix configuration?

Following is the message I got on fresh installation current wp version.
[spProfileEdit.php] - Template File Not Found
Sorry, but the required template file could not be found or could not be opened.
This can be caused by a missing/corrupt theme or theme file. Please check the Simple:Press Theme List admin panel and make sure a valid theme is selected. Or please check the location of the selected theme on your server and make sure the theme and the required template file exist.
The current theme stylesheet:
/var/www/coupondelhi.in/htdocs/wp-content/uploads/sp-resources/forum-themes/default/styles/default.php
cannot be found. Please correct or select a new theme for proper operation.
Available Themes
No other available themes found
My installation is on cloud and the wordpress has been deployed on nginx with the help of easyengine. By default easyengine place all wordpress files and folders inside htdocs and wp-config.php outside htdocs. FYI installation of simplepress on WP standard site (on cloud) was smooth and working fine.
you didnt answer any of my questions... hard to help without data...
and this is a pre-membership query forum - not for support...
but one thing to try, please go to forum - toolbox - housekeeping and try resetting the profile tabs since you moved the sp-resources location (to the proper spot)...
further help really needs to be in the support forum please...

Let me re-answer your questions.
Yes I installed simplepress on current WP version.
No, I haven't redefined the wp-content directory.
Yes there are sym links in unix configuration?
After resetting there were little improvement, but still theme is broken.
Also I tested simplepress on fresh WP multisite on shared server, but same problem occurred.
If simplepress supports multisite then I will be more than happy to purchase few plugins and theme.
I can share wp credentials if you need.
first occurrence of this for a multisite install so hence asking the questions... quite a few installed users...
asked about sym links gathering info... standard wp install wont have sym links... wp generally supports them, but a few tickets open against wp where things break if used... they would traditionally be used if you moved wp files out of the standard place and added a sym link to the other location... just trying to think of what might be different in this install...
for detailed support, we are going to have to take this into the support forum...
