Support Forum
Hi Simple:Press. I'm confused a little. I am an admin on my WordPress site (www.rochestermakerspace.com) and receive the following message:
Please note that while you are a WP admin, you are not currently an SP admin. By default, WP admins are not SP admins
Contact one of the SP Admins listed below to see if they want to grant you SP admin access on the SP manage admins panel

Rob, one of the admins, tells me he doesn't have the ability to promote me to admin.
When I attempt to log in to the forum, it takes me to the WordPress login page. The forum then shows that I'm logged in, but when I attempt to view and modify my profile, I get the following message:
Profile form could not be found: [Account Settings]
You might try the forum - toolbox - housekeeping admin form and reset the profile tabs and menus and see if that helps
I can't find anything labeled toolbox and don't know how to log in to the forum directly. Also, I have been asked to be an admin on our forum, so once I have the ability to login to the forum, I'll need to know the process so the admins can promote me to admin as well.
Thank you.

as detailed, wp admins are not sp admins... the only wp admin that is an sp admin by default, is the wp admin that installed simple press... this is by large demand request to allow users to be admins of sp, but not have access to other parts of the wp admin...
you do not log into the forum directly... you log into your wp site... simple press just sits on top of your wp site, users and login...
you can promote users to wp admin in the forum - admins - manage admins tools... but to get there you will need the sp admin capability to manage admins - by default after install, its the wp admin that installed sp...
if you need more detailed help, please open a ticket in the support forum vice the pre membership queries...
