I see that it is essential that Wordpress themes that we use must have the "A call to the function...wp_head(), wp_footer() and the_content()" elements included so that they are compatible with Simple:Press. Is this a difficult issue to overcome? Are you able to recommend WP themes that comply with this?
On that note, do you have full WP themes available to members (not just the forum themes)?
Thanks for the info....really close to going ahead with joining.

Hey Dab,
Yes it's important to use a WP theme that includes these functions. They are used by the majority of plugins, including Simple:Press and the forum will not function properly without them in there.
Now when you say 'is this a difficult issue to overcome', if you mean you want to use a WP theme that doesn't include these calls, then yes it will be difficult! If you mean finding a theme that includes these calls and is compatible, then no. I think the majority of theme authors understand the importance of these calls.
Unfortunately we don't supply WordPress themes, only forum. Although the standard themes that come with WordPress all work great.
Hope that helps
If you were thinking of themes based on the Gantry framework which does not include the wp_head() call then SP does have a special setting for that built in to the options. Otherwise to reinforce what Ike has said - these calls are really mandatory and it is extremely rare to find a theme that does not implement them although we have across the odd one that has simply forgotten to do so through sloppy design and coding.
