Support Forum

First, I know... I need to upgrade to the latest version.  Check out my forum at http://www.T-BizNetwork.com.

But, I have a touchy question. My forum is very slow (speed and traffic). I use to have the largest forum in my industry and it was a very old but FAST threaded forum using an antiquated perl script. I sold that business.

For my new site with speed issues (mine and Wordpress) and the lack of threads I need to find a way to "entice" people to post. I have tried giving away a cheap software program for good posts and that did generate traffic over the holidays.

I am looking for ideas that aren't too tacky. Right now I would even "pay to post" but fear it might come off as desperate.

Any creative thoughts? Contests? If there are threads on other forums about this topic I would love to have links.

Of course a threaded view would help because my industry seems very reluctant to change.
