I customized the default skin to match my blogs theme and added some new icons. Hope you'll like it. In terms of performance I'm quite happy with SPF, even 81 people at the same are not a big deal an I'm on a managed server. I know it isn't advised but I'm using Simple Press with W3 Total Cache and if you carefully exclude all forum-related db queries, files and folders from caching, it works perfectly fine even if all the surrounding theme files are cached :-).

btw, is there a step by step tutorial about how to use w3 total cache in simple press site?

i can't find it...

no, not really... just go to the w3 total cache settings pages and tell it to ignore or not cache the wp page the forum is on...
