it is either

  1. A CSS declaration in your WP theme stylesheet that is 'floating' all images left (look for a 'float: left;' declaration). Or...
  2. You are using a plugin that put a hack in place to cope with a bug in  WP2.5 and is either old or in need of updating. The 'Contact 7' plugin does this as does an older version of the 'NextGen Gallery'

I have this follow up question.

I actually removed the .post img {display:block} from my stylesheet.css and it aligned all the images now. Just to make sure all the files are ok. I re-installed the forum, but then the problem I have now is this..

I have tried changing the styles and icon set, but it's the same, please help.. cant wait to have the forum up and running

Options > Posts

Try looking through the options. A lot of thngs can  be changed there.
