I was a user of the previous plugin, and I just finished the upgrade to Simple:Press. I love the improvements, and really appreciate all of the work that has been put into the system.

My site is a geek news/culture site called SinisterRabbit.com....I hope you all enjoy it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Had a look around sinister rabit, and dont see a forum.

This is in fact the third of fourth site I've gone to, to have a look at how users are using the forum software and there's no longer a forum installed?

why are people posting their forums to have a look at and then removing them?

Well, I recently changed themes and am working on creating an appropriate page template that will accomadate the forum. Going back into the css and making changes to ensure everything looks good takes a little time as well.

I totally forgot about my post here, Rob, sorry about any confusion.

It's a good question. I think a lot of people believe their site can benefit from and can sustain a forum and after trying it perhaps realise that it's either too much effort or too little traffic. Who knows. I am pretty sure that many who download and install this do not keep it going. But there is a hardcore group of users who do and are running very successful forums.

I don't think that it is a reflection on the plugin at all, the plugin is great, but it does take a little more effort to make it fit perfectly than some choose to expend. In my case my forum traffic was very little compaired to my average traffic so I assumed that people were visiting the site but were too "shy" to talk in a new forum.

When I made the decision to change my theme (after a year with the old one) I found that a buch of things needed to be adjusted in the CSS in order to make the forum work perfectly....so I chose to bring it down for a spell while I perfected everthing.

It is kind of funny that my initial post here was made over 2 months ago and I finally get a reply here AFTER I take the forum down. LOL

I'll post back up here letting everyone know when the forums are back and running.
