I have a plugin that lets me embed special panoramic images on to my site, which I use in building my site’s pages. Is it possible that the shortcode I use to do this embedding is allowed for forum members to use?
Is this a trivial option, such as allowing users to write HTML into their posts? I’m guessing not…
The plugin is PanoPress and the shortcode generally used is in the format
[pano file=”mysite.com/file.html”]

See the forum admin > options > content settings – Shortcodes Filtering. The popup help there should tell you what you need to know.

Let’s start by covering shortcodes in general.. Yes you can enable shortcodes in posts, but you have to enable it in Forum > Options > Content Settings – See Shortcodes Filtering and of course read the help popup for more info on that one.
I don’t know if plugin shortcodes work as I didn’t code the functionality and haven’t tried. There’s no mention of plugin shortcodes not working in the popup so I don’t see why it would be a problem although you could definitely give it a try if Andy or Steve don’t come along and say otherwise.
