Support Forum
Hi,
It seems that Google is not indexing posts from my forum.
I have read, that the problem could be resolved, if the "canonical" tag was removed.
Is that correct?
And if so, how do I remove this line from the code?:
<link rel="canonical" href="http://xn--gldsforum-g3a.dk/forum/" />
You can find the forum here. (gældsforum.dk)
PS!
It´s danish language:)
Best,
Berthel
not sure why you would want to remove canonical... then every post will point to the wp page vs the pseudo sp page...
so how are you telling google about your forum? are you running the wp google xml sitemap plugin and our corresponsding sp plugin for auto generating a sitemap for google and other search engines??
I can give you a way to change the actual url, but no current way to remove rel='canonical' since it doesnt make a whole lot of sense and never been asked for...

Thank you, Mr. Papa
I have installed the "Google XML Sitemaps" plugin. I can see, that Google has found and accepted it in my "Google webmaster tools".
I can see, that Google has indexed 10 posts today, so I might not have the problem any longer. I will leave the "canonical" be.
yes, getting your forum pages into a sitemap is the quickest and best way to get them indexed...
thanks for the update...
