change to wp??? shouldnt have to... it was our logic that prevented a simple filter in the post validation stuff...

For the record, that filter didn't work for me as is. Does it require edits to the TopicView template too? Looking at the spFunctions code, it does not appear so.
It should work for any user with Admin permissions, yes? I ask because I recently changed my default WP username so it is no longer "admin".
Reading this whole thread, it looks like issue came back for Robert, some WP core hacks had to be made, but it never got sorted out, or at least reported here.

No, the filter by itself isnt enogh... you need to edit the core sp code... we have some js validation that is blocking the filter from working... keep meaning to try to resolve that, but never seem to get to it...
