Hi, I'm aiming for as clean and simple a deployment as possible.
To this end I would like to completely remove all the stats info in spFootContainer (or spFootContainer itself).
I'd rather not just hide it with css and leave the overhead there so what is the best, upgrade proof, approach to this?
I am a front end dev with no php but can just about manage cut and pasting functions into my child theme!
Many thanks.
Simple:Press is template driven so you can really remove any item you do not want to show. You will find the templates in the /templates folder of the Simple:Press theme you are using.
The stats area - being shown on all views - is in the global spFoot.php template and if you open it up and tke a look you should fairly easily be able to trace the display items one by one to see what you want to remove.
Or shout over specifics if there is something you can't find.
As always we recommend that you create your own SP theme so that any customisation is not lost during a future update. (http://codex.simple-press.com/.....g-a-theme/)
