Page one loads fine but page two takes ages and I eventually get PHP memory limit error. My memory limit should be enough (268435456 bytes exhausted). The topic is image-heavy, but I am still surprised. It seems I can't really do anything about it; no way to edit the topic if it doesn't load.
Has anyone experienced this? I would love some help!

Looking at the analysis of that page the biggest item being loaded before it falls over is the background page image. So I have to assume that this is a problem with the images in the post content - and of they are really big then yes -this could be the issue.
So how are you handling images in the forum? What settings do you have for the uploading? And what settings for the image display?

Maximum size for image file uploads is set to 2MB, no limit on dimensions. I've actually increased this since the problem happened. Not sure what it was before.

So if you are allowing people to upload 2MB images then that is going to really slow down page load and display plus add all of that to the download bandwidth needed to load it.
But what about the image display settings in content? Are you using thumbnails? Popup enlargement?
