Hi,
I'm in Integration - Page and Permalink
and the
Current permalink:
However, when I go to the link, I'm getting a 404 error.
What am I doing wrong? I appreciate any help.

Can I take it that this is NOT a new installation? If that is the case then the first question has to be 'what has changed?' There always has to be a reason!
Try forum admin > Integration > Page and Permalink and updating the forum permalinks using the button about half way down.
If that is not the cure then have you introduced a redirection plugin of any kind?
Have you started to use either the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin or WooCommerce?

Not a new install.
This is a dev site, and I hadn't looked at the forum in a month or two.
No Yoast SEO or WooCommerce.
Haven't introduced a redirection plugin.
I updated the permalinks, as you suggested. Didn't help.
There was a 404 monitor in the plugins - I deactivated that and ALL plugins except Simple Press. The page said:
Sorry, no content matched your criteria.
What should I try next? Thank you for your help.

Ah sorry. I was thinking that the links in the forum were resulting in 404's yet actually you seem to be missing the forum page. The url is 'forums' and you do not have a WP page defined with the slug of 'forums'.

oddly, a lot of your pages listed in the nav menu generate 404 errors, not just the forum..
no caching plugin, right?
couple other things to try... edit the wp page the forum is on a change the permalink, update the forum permalink and see if that does anything...
on your server, do you have a forums directory in the wordpress root? maybe from a previous 3rd part forum app?

Fixed. Something was wrong with permalinks... it's all resolved now.
