More to add to the mystery. I wanted to test if the Genesis Prose theme was messing things up in some way so this morning I installed the WP 2013 theme. I went to the simple press forum and when I clicked on a forum topic it logged me out and I got a 404 page. I then switched back to the Prose them and simple press works fine. AIOSEO was off this whole time.
I decided to also test it with Yoast Wordpress SEO. I installed and activated that plugin and went to the simple press forum. The forum worked fine with that plugin on BUT the top banner and menus for the website are all missing. The forum takes up the whole screen.
This is a full time job trying to figure this stuff out...........Thanks for any help you can give on my the 2013 theme would cause problems or why why Yoast would mess up the forum page header. Steve
not sure I follow the the genesis/2013 issue... I use genesis on many simple press sites...
with wp seo, try going to forum - integration - page and permalink and play with the display options on that page... namely display in loop (true) display multiple (false) as suggestions...

Basically, when I switch to the WP 2013 template I get the same issue as I have when I started this thread. I get logged out of WP when using Simple Press. Before today I had the issue narrowed down to existing only when I had the AIOSEO plugin on. Now it also happens if I switch themes to 2013 which I think is very strange! What would the 2013 and the AIOSEO plugin have in common that would mess up login status when clicking on links in Simple Press??
