Hi I do have a problem whit 404 errors.

Its function fine for a wile, and then its starts and I do need to press Update Forum Permalink and its back working fine for some time.

I do not have any caching

My wp permalink is /%category%/%postname%/

I do use Yoast SEO and I have reed abut activating Redirect ugly URL's to clean permalinks. But when I did that I did not get acses to the forums.

I get the following errors:

file: /simple-press/forum/content/classes/sp-forum-view-class.php line: 532 function: call_user_func Notice | Uninitialized string offset: 0

file: /simple-press/sp-startup/admin/spa-admin-updater.php line: 274 function: call_user_func Notice | Trying to get property of non-object

Any tips?

with yoast, you want the ugly permalink redirect turned off...

those two are not errors but simply notices...  they are harmless but we try to remove them when found... is this 5.2?

so if I understand you, the forum works fine for some period of time...  then it just stops working and begins throwing 404 errors?  and if you go update the forum permalink on forum - integration - page and permalink, it starts working again...  is that what you are saying?  sorry, just trying to be sure...

Yes its working fine for some time /days, and then I do se forum post in the list of 404. And I have to update the forum permalink on forum – integration and it´s fine fore some time but then it’s a problem again.

It’s been like this for some time but I did believe it was good a couple of times.

I do use WP 3.5 and SP Version: 5.2 Build: 9495

Do you have any other WP plugins active that create their own permalinks in a similar way to the forum?

I do use Redirection to handle 404 errors

make sure the redirection plugin does NOT have any redirection for the forum pages... this plugin and other redirection plugins sometimes get confused since all forum content appears on a single wp page... the appearance of many pages within the forum is just url rewrite black magic to make it seem like many pages - its all still displayed on that single wp page...

Maybe promising. Monitor it and come on back if it starts up again and we can have another think.
