So you can 🙂 I also see that WP 3.3 beta has a new release. Great stuff.

Not yet - still at beta 4. Then there will be a short RC period as well.

Sorry Conrad. Due to the hosting move it is necessary to remove the old SP svn'd files and check them out anew from the repository - the same as the first time it was done.

But - now we are in beta you can have SP update via the WP updates page...

Er sorry but I can't remember how I did this, from memory I used totoise svn and had a long winded method from local folders but now have shell access which was much better.

How do I wipe out the old svn stuff and start anew? I really prefer this method, it is so elegant and quick. I promise that I will write the process down this time as I clearly can't rely on my memory.

just remove the entire simple-press directory and its contents...  then use your svn client to check http://svn.simple-press.com/trunk

repeat for plugins and themes if using those via svn too...

<http://svn.simple-press.com:80.....Subversion repository requests a user name and password. Sorry if I've been given this info before but if so I do not remember it. Can you PM me the credentials please.

what are you doing? svn checkout?

you shouldnt need a username and password to read stuff... only if you try to commit....

I think that I am confusing myself by virtue of the old route I took before I had shell access. Basically I used tortoise svn on my local windows machine and then ftp'd all the content of the folders up to my server. I seemed to remember having to check in the downloaded stuff on my local machine but obviously I am doing things wrong. Anyway now I can see how to do it -  all I need to do is download the lot, ftp everything up to the server and then go back to using the shell access to do svn up. Sometimes I astonish myself with my own stupidity.

These things usually occur when I am concentrating on several things at once. I have to accept the fact that I don't remember stuff and that my ability to parallel process is diminishing daily.

PS I know what I did wrong now, I was attempting to import instead of using checkout. How dumb is that!
