Support Forum
You can do this now with a small edit to the template display function. The function sp_BreadCrumbs() in the spHead.php template of your SP theme can take an optional 'groupLink' argument that when set to 1 will include the group in the breadcrumbs.
If you know how to add/change arguments then thes are the details of the function: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....eadcrumbs/
Or we can walk you through it a little closer if you need it.
As always we recommend that you create your own SP theme so that any customisation is not lost during a future update. (http://codex.simple-press.com/.....g-a-theme/)

Thanks for that link! Searched earlier, but missed that thread and put it on my watch list.
I wouldn't call it "very easy", but I think it's doable on a day when my brain isn't overflowing. I need a little more time to get used to all the forum options and get things set up right before I customize.
okay. we will be here if you have any questions...

A related question:
How do I link to a group and how are the URLs determined?
For example, for this group it's https://simple-press.com/suppo.....al-topics/
Where did you set it up to be "sp5-general-topics"?
Looked around codex and group management, but didn't see anything.
the template tags plugin for SP has a way to display a group link... see: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....roup-link/
or you can just put it out there yourself... the url would be in the form:
https://simple-press.com/suppo...../?group=17
and then just that group would be shown on that page... 17 is of course, the group ID which you can get from the manage forums admin panel...
