Support Forum
Hello, I just signed up for support again to hopefully get help with a couple of issues. I did a simple search on the forums, and while I'm sure this topic has been addressed, couldn't find anything relating to it.
The first, and most major one is on my forum at http://www.faygoluvers.net/v5/forum/. As of yesterday, I upgraded my website from WP 3.8.3 to 3.9.1, and then upgraded SimplePress to 5.5.0. Since the upgrades, the only way my users are able to post in the forum are by using the "Quote" feature, and replying to topics that are already there. They are not able to click on "Add Topic", or "Add Reply". Also, the private messaging system won't let you compose a message to users. I have tried disabling all SP plugins which had no effect, and also tried disabling and re-enabling the SP plugin itself which didn't work either.
The 2nd one is minor, but i just don't know what file or area to go in to fix it. See the attached image.
Any help or pushes in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
the first one sounds like the big hitter from wp 3.9 where lots of plugins and themes had issues with the major wp editor change... any plugin or theme that adds buttons or anything to tinymce will break unless they update... any that do that? make sure they are all up to date... as well as the sp plugins...
sorry, what is the second issue? an alignment thing?

Well, thank you for replying so fast, sir! I went through my plugins one by one, and found out that one called WPAudio was causing it. I have disabled and found a replacement, and it seems to be working.
The 2nd part is where to modify where it says "Sign Uping". It should say "Signing Up".
Thanks again for your help!
lol, well its not coming from simple press - at least not directly...
is this a custom sp theme you are using? By default, we dont ask to 'sign up', we ask to 'register'... so its likely you customized (or wherever you got the sp theme did)...
Take a look in you sp theme, in the spHead.php template file for the function sp_LoggedInOutLabel and see what the 3rd argument is to that function call..

well, that is what we output... no where in sp core, themes or plugins do we output that natively... of course, with our full fledged api, there are ways for things to change it...
are you sure you are using default? forum - themes - theme list will tell you... you could check the spFunctions.php in theme for any filters, but that would be the hard way to change...
you are using default english language, right? no translations...
do you have link to site?

Yes, it looks to be using the default:

Where do I check the language setting? I can't imagine it'd be anything other than English. Thanks!
No language problem - at least I see you are using the standard supplied English version so why would you install a language pack - which you would have to have manually done yourself.
So - if it is not a customised SP theme - which clearly you have shown it not to be. The next thingm to check would be the spFunctions.php file which you can also check with the SP theme editor as you did above. Do you see that string of characters in there at all?
If not then you should be looking at other plugins. Particularly anything to do with registration, login, logout etc. Might there be one globally changing words for example as a WordPress filter on the post content?
