Hello
On our forum, when you choose to add a reply or new topic the editor is not showing up. as you see above here.
I installed the tiny MCE rich text editor that also did not resolve the issue. and i have since deactivated and uninstalled it.
Its almost like its on html.. like when you create a post in WP you can choose visual or HTML.. is there an option somewhere that i should check?
here is a link to the page
http://www.rchelination.com/forum/
it is PW protected so we dont have any users messing around with the forum until its ready to live.
pw is werock
take a look and let me know what you think the issue could be. if you want to log in.. i have a generic login for the site ... its testuser.. and the pw is testuser

Daniel: Could you try an experiment. Deactivate woo commerce... refresh your browser cache and try the tinymce editor again. See if that makes any difference. Of course you don't have that editor activated at the moment so hard for me to see what might be happening.

Yellow Swordfish... i am happy to say that did the trick.. the editor is now there.. and by all accounts seems to be functioning properly..
does that mean i am unable to use woocommerce? i am not using it at the moment, I did plan to use it.. in the near future.. but id rather have the forum working .. and find an alternative to woocommerce
thanks
-Dan
We have encountered Woo Commerce before. The problem with is that it bundles a bespoke version of the jQuery library and, I believe, some jQuery plugins in it's own script file. I am afraid this then stomps all over the WP protocols for the correct load of scripts and you end up with various copies of the same library - different versions and all hell breaks loose for any plugin properly using the libraries.
This codex article explains what this means:
http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-conflict/
Of course the best option for everyone would be if the Woo Commerce guys could construct their plugin properly and it would be very simple for them to do this...

i am wondering then.. if other jQuery issues i have had in the past boil down to woocommerce.. we have managed to find alternatives when those issues came about..
on another note.. can you point me to a resource that can show me how to change the layout of the editor .. right now its stacked in a very inefficient manor.. taking up more room than it should and it seems no matter what i do with the options .. whether i move things to toolbar 1 or two.. nothing changes.. i am able to get he skin color to change..

That could be the case. Any plugin that uses jQuery and the UI libraries in accordance with WP standards and the WP API are likely to have problems.
Now - to the toolbar. Did you add those extra buttons in the editor UI (Components) because we certainly do not define all of those. Or three toolbars for that matter. Or - do you have one of the WP plugins installed that adds extra buttons...?
