Hi,
The "Add Topic" buttons don't appear to working on our forum, clicking on them does nothing. I've checked the group and all topics and none are locked. I'm logged in as a full admin so I should have full access to post, I tried another regular user with "Full Access" permissions and that didn't work either. I've locked in the event log and can't seem to find any related errors. I've also checked in the javascript console to see if there were any errors when clicking that button but no errors are appearing there either. I've checked the forum but can't seem to see anything related to this. Can you please have a look? Our site is at http://www.wagertalk.com/news/forum/. when you page loads, I see js errors... nothing obvious from page source, but the errors are in the page itself which 'might' lead towards the wp theme...
TypeError: main_menu is undefined
var main_menu=new main_menu.dd("main_menu");
does that ring a bell??
That js error might be stopping other js from running on your pages...
might be worth a quick switch to default wp theme and see if any different... at least would narrow it down for further work...

That was exactly it, some dead code the theme author had left in the theme we purchased. I didn't think it could cause this problem but I was obviously wrong. Thanks for spotting it for me!

i got the very same problem after updating simple:press to recent version on http://rcconcordia.de/?page_id=10
I can: delete and edit posts
i can: add posts to a thread using the "quote" button
i can't: add a post to a thread using the "add reply" button
i can't: start a new thread by using the "add topic" button.
I set both WP and simple:press themes to defaults ("twenty ten" and "default 1.2.16") to no avail.
I also checked the permissions which look unchanged and ok.

You have an error in the way that the script library Bootstrap is being used. The error is occurring in the plugin 'download-manager'.
Could you briefly deactivate that plugin so you can see if this is the culprit?
