Hey gents, I just updated my SF from 4.5.1 to 5.0.0 Build: 7944 because of image upload security issue.

Everything is working fine except Add topic function. I tried to create topic with latest versions of IE, FF, Opera - no luck.

You just press the button and nothing happens ... With IE, FF you can see small pop-up message in the

left screen corner saying "javascript:void(null)".

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Thanks,

Oleg

Almost certainly a javascript conflict. We will need a link to your forum page however if you need help trying to identify the problem...

you have a quite a few js errors on your site...

most likely because your theme is doing improper things and loading its own jquery with:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://elektrowave.org/wp-content/themes/premiumnews/includes/js/jquery-1.1.3.1.min.js">

which is an ancient version compared the other version that WordPress loads...  so they are conflicting it appears...

Hey Admin, I have just upgraded simple:press forum from 4.5.1 to 5.0.1 Build: 8048. The entire forum works fine but the "Add Topic" button doesn't work properly. The page refreshes and remains on the same page when I click on this button.

I am using two different themes for my website, and installed the same plugin in both the sites. In one of the themes, the 'Add new topic in this forum' link with a small image on the forum page takes me inside the forum to display the topics in that forum. While in the other theme, the same link doesn't respond at all and stays on the same page. In both the cases, the 'Add Topic' button doesn't work at all. I have tried doing the same in all the browser, IE, Chrome and Firefox. But there is no difference.

Any help making this work would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,

FYFL

I suspect the Use Google Libraries v1.2 plugin

Alternatively, you should try to deactivate all the plugins and start to reactivate each plugin and check which plugins that cause the conflict.

Mr. Papa, I got everything working, including the Add Topic button in both the themes. I have gone through the below link.

https://simple-press.com/suppor…..t-working/

this link is very helpful. The only resolution I came up with is "Deactivate all the network active plugins from your site and just activate the simple:press plugin". All the features of the plugin works fine !!

Thanks for you help !!
