Sinoun... give it a try now...  corrected the theme js issues to load jquery from wp and fixed name space usage in custom js to not conflict with wp...

for reference, two files were changed:

felici/problem-with-post-edit-buttonades_framework/problem-with-post-edit-buttonelper/Helper.php

felici/sprites/js/custom.js

you may want to note the changes in case you ever upgrade... or take up the changes with the theme author..

Wow. Thank so much!!! Let me take a moment here to show my appreciation...

I was REALLY hesitant at first to pay for support in the beginning, but I took the chances and did because I really needed help and didn't know what to do... And now I feel like it's one of the best things I've ever done for myself!

You guys have gone above and beyond to help me. I can't believe it! In addition to that, you guys have been responsive in a timely manner. You have saved so much stress for me, I can't say thank you enough. I'm so glad I don't have to make drastic changes to the site I made for my client. Simple Press was the best forum option that fit my client's needs!

Keep up the great work. You guys are awesome. 🙂

Hi Yellow Swordfish (or anyone else who can help).

This is Sinoun again (I started this thread), but I'm posting under a client's membership account.

It's been about a year now and I'm having this problem again because I just updated the forum plugin. I sent an email, but you guys said I need to post in the forum.

Yellow Swordfish, I'm not sure what you did to help when I emailed you the FTP information, but can you help again? I'm at a lost and not sure what I need to edit to make the forum function properly. Please help!

Thank you!
Sinoun and Brian

in the reply to your email, I explained that the wp slider plugin is incorrectly loading jquery...  have you resolved that?

or tried deactivating that plugin to see if that is the issue?

I am having the same issue with add topic not working. When I click it I see an error message in the bottom left hand side of my screen that says javascript:void(null). I have tried deactivating plug ins and checking the jquery info that I could find but I cannot figure it out.

John,

that is not an error message... the void part just means the href of the a tag is not used and the onclick attribute is used instead...

sounds like a js conflict though..  have you reviewed:  http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-conflict/

we would need a link to to your forum to look for obvious js issues...

Thx Papa for the reply and I will stick to this thread

We have reviewed the link and everything seems in order and we have also deactivated about half of our plugins to test the issue with no luck

Here is a link to our forum http://readyupgaming.com/forums/

Is there anything you need from us in terms of access or etc?

well you do have a couple two or three js errors on your pages... the biggest one seems to be something about main_menu.dd causing issues... and a FB error about calling order...

the main menu error is coming from a script near the bottom of the page, but it appears to be stopping some js from running...

any idea where that is from?
