tinymce?  not sure that would affect saving... but I alluded to expecting problems in post #38 since too many themes and plugins incorrectly add stuff to tinymce... they make a bad assumption that the tinymce editor only appears on the wp add post panel...  but that is wrong ever since wp wrapped an api around the editor so it could be used elsewhere...

still doesnt look like I can post...  for you, does the editor look like the one you get here? mean buttons and such, not colors...

and what about mod_security?

as to your carousel, that was my point, that plugin should only load its js on the pages where its used...  then it wont interfere or cause problems elsewhere...

I changed the permissions to full access for guests on both the General rG updates forum and the PC  forum so Im not sure why you arent able to post... when I add new topic I do not have the same options that I see above the text box here that look similar to word options like clip board, bullet points, etc. etc. My menu above the text box has b, i, u, link, b-quote, img, etc. etc. etc.

Where would I look to see if I have mod_security? I used to have Akismet plugin activated but I deactivated that..

mod_security would be checking with your host... or google it for ways to disable in your .htaccess file...

how did you change permissions? on forum - permissions - manage permissions?  but did you actually assign that permission set to a usergroup on the forums?

yes, I can post now...  but no point if it works, right? ;)

and tinymce is going to come down to those other plugins (ie nextgen, social tools, pretty photo, etc) to see if they are adding stuff properly for wp tinymce used on front end...

I tried deactivated all the plugins except basic WP ones and I still cannot type at all in the body of the text with the tinymce turned on ..... I deactivated it for now so that the forum is atleast up and running...should I look more into the mod_security with my programmer?
