So I changed the site and WordPress URLs from http to https in Settings>General. Then I reset both combined CSS and JS cache and this didn't fix the problem.
I'm sorry I'm not making myself clear. My issue is that for ANY published post from any user, none of us can use the Edit option on any post. When it's clicked, it just refreshes the page. How can we fix this so that we can reinstate the ability to edit posts if needed?
I don't know what else to share here.
Help?
I believe we all have a very clear understanding of what your issue now is - you have stated it many times. But when you started the thread the issue was two-fold in that you were not seeing an ssl permalink for the forum page which had to be resolved first before even starting to look at the edit issue.
So I am now going to have to assume that all permalinks and SSL is working within the forum page as you want it making that issue dealt with. Well sort of dealt with.
@mr-papa (while being incorrect about the edit function adding a query arg to the url) was quite correct when he stated that simply adopting SSL is not going to stop the editing of posts. As you clearly were able to edit posts before you made this change then the obvious first question has to be - did you make any other changes because something is clearly in play that is causing the issue?
And if you say there were no other changes then perhaps this plugin you adopted for SSL needs investigating. I am curious as to why use a plugin when WP supports SSL without the need of one.

When I discovered this issue, I immediately deactivated all plugins less Simple:Press, then tried to edit a post and it made no difference. I can't say it's a plugin issue.
Aside from adding an SSL Certificate, making edits to my .htaccess file to force https on all page, and finally changing both site and WordPress URLs from http to https in Settings>General, nothing else has changed.
Any chance I can provide login credentials to one of the admins here for a quick investigation? I'm at a loss.

But that wasn't my question. I asked if there were any other changes to your website at the same time as you adopted SSL. That could just as easily be a new WP theme or an update to your theme. And surely, if you deactivated ALL plugins you would need to reverse all the settings for SSL and would have thus put the whole website back to the way it was before - when editing worked. So how did you do this please?
These are important questions to help diagnosis and really need a detailed answer if only to discount things.
Aside from adding an SSL Certificate, making edits to my .htaccess file to force https on all page, and finally changing both site and WordPress URLs from http to https in Settings>General, nothing else has changed.
But you said at the top of this thread that you - 'installed a WordPress plugin called WordPress HTTPS'. Are you now saying that this is not being used?

Yes - you can PM credentials to both myself, to 'Mr Papa' and to 'Ike'. Please include in the PM a link to your site, a link to this thread and brief reminder of the problem. And one of us will take a look for you. The user needs to be a Simple:Press admin course.
I very much doubt there is anything to find however. Editing a post is simply a matter of sending a standard POST action to the server that then reloads the page in editing mode. There is nothing mysterious or non-standard about it. If it no longer works then - as I already stated - something third party is at play. So answers to the above are still needed. And perhaps some details on the htaccess changes which may also have a bearing ion it.

Did you reset your forum url in Forum > Integration?
There is no reason to use an htaccess command to force https, take that statement out.
Run your forum and other wordpress urls through whynopadlock.com what does it say?
You need WordPress HTTPS plugin to convert old http links and image urls to protocol relative // otherwise you will have to go into every post page and change any existing entries to https. This does not count any poorly written plugins that do not support https.
After browsing your site I'm seeing only your forum is encrypted. Since SimplePress runs under WordPress if wanting to run https it must be your whole site. Mixing encryption does not work well.

Another tidbit, off topic for this thread, but since we're discussing encryption thought i would mention it.
This protocol relative mod has worked well for me. It allows running certain WordPress posts / pages in http. Useful for running full https and serving content that does not play well under encryption.
Warning once converting your database it is not easily reverted back. Keep a backup!

RE: Changes.
No changes have taken place. I'm using the same theme with the same plugin with the exception of the added WordPress HTTPS plugin. As I said, when I discovered the problem of not being able to edit posts, it was done after I setup https on my website. As with typical process for troubleshooting, I deactivate plugins (WordPress, not SP plugins) to see if an active plugin was causing the issue. This didn't seem to be the case since the issue still persisted.
RE: WordPress HTTPS plugin.
I'm still using this plugin, yes. I only installed it after I setup my website for https. After I discovered the problem of not being able to edit posts, I deactivated this plugin to see if it was causing the issue since it was the only change I made to the site after making the website https. This didn't fix the issue, however.
Is there any other information I can provide to help us find the solution?
