Support Forum

I'm a new user.  I installed Simple-press forum and it worked for two posts.  I came back later and no user can add a topic.  This happened on my staging site, too.  I click on "Add Topic" the page refreshes, but nothing happens--meaning the new topic form does not show up.  

I installed the forum on my Wordpress site (3.9.1) using Wishlist Member.  I configured it so users see a Group depending on their wordpress role.  Like I said before, I tested it and it worked (I logged in as one user and added a topic.  Then logged in as a second test user and replied to that topic).  I came back to test further and no user can add a topic--not even administrators (moderators).  The only thing I changed between it working and not working was to change the theme and I turned off Global RSS feeds.  I turned them back on and the behavior is the same--I can't add a topic.

Any suggestions?
