I'm sure I'm probably just looking in the wrong places around here, but are there any widgets/code for inserting Simple Press information to the main Wordpress index page?
Such as, last posts, newest topics, top posters etc etc... I used to use these on phpbb portals and would quite like to use them with Simple Press too
Thank you
Not entirely sure I understand what you are asking for... the simple press forums can appear on any single wp page... you can set which page that is on forum - integration - page and permalink...
if you want that standard wp page to be the site's main (ie home) page, you would set that up in the wp settings just like you would any other wp page you want to be the main page... that is on wp - settings - reading...
if you want to show the latest forum topics on the front page, sidebar or other locations, there is a widget for there... it is part of the template tag plugins for SP...
if you are asking something else, please elaborate...

Yes, this is what I meant - I thought there may be some widgets or coding that can be inserted into the php index file to add information such as latest topics, top forum posters etc?
I've installed all of the plugins but assume there must be some code required somewhere to activate them within a theme?
so you added the simple press template tags plugin via the sp plugin updater and not wp, right? and in the sp plugins list, you have activated the template tags plugin, right?
after that, go to the standard wp widgets panel and there will be a simple press recent posts widget available...
our codex gives some discussion:
