Hi, guys. I’ve got a couple of major, presumably related problems. I’ve searched around and I don’t see that anyone has addressed this exact topic.
The first part is that administrators don’t seem to have any permissions to view content. It’s weird; I can set all of my forums to standard access to everyone, including guests, and administrators always receive some variant of the following error:
The requested group does not exist or you do not have permission to view it
Meanwhile guests can read the content just fine.
It gets better; I can create a new user account and gradually bump up his permissions; all is as normal up through moderator status. If I make him an admin, suddenly he gets the above errors.
Obviously this situation makes it hard to manage a forum. If anyone has an idea as to how to fix this, I will be grateful.
The second problem is that when I set a forum to “read only” for a given user group, to that group it becomes completely invisible. This feels like it’s a part of the same problem as above, although I can’t quantify why. Again I would appreciate any available help on this.
Thanks, guys.
