Support Forum
When I am logged into the forum.. the administrator.. and the plugin TinyMCE is turned on this editor never shows up in a reply or post.. but only logged in as admin.. If i am logged in as a normal user or moderator the bar shows up fine ... Also, when the uploader plugin is turned on ... while logged in Administrator I cant post a topic or reply.. the icons dont work .. once again this works for all others...
Also Why doesnt my TinyMCE bar have a insert / edit embedded media or the insert image icon like yours does on here... I only have insert custom character and the Spoiler icon ... not the two in between
Also my admin link button and the tool set buttons never work
Im really hoping to get all of this worked out.. would love to actually use this forum... as of right now im afraid to launch it..
Let's take things one at a time as these are complex issues. So tinyMCE first...
Do you have any WordPress plugins active that add a new button or function to the tinyMCE editor that only an admin would see? This could explain why you have the editor issue as an Admin but not as a user. It can also usually be corrected - many plugin authors who add buttons to tinyMCE assume that the editor only works in the WP admin but it can, in fact, work anywhere so often a small code change is required tp ensure their additions ONLY get loaded on the admin side.
Another possibility is that your site is throwing a JavaScript error. I think your site takes the crown for loading more JavaScript code than any I have seen before and obviously the more you load the more it can be prone to issues. There seems to be a problem with something that may or may not be called 'Pie'? Whether this is causing any other issues then I can not tell but it is worth noting.
You are using CloudFlare and while not everyone seems to be adversly affected, we have seen many problems with this in the past - often unexplained and odd issues that just disappear when Cloudflare is removed from the equation.
And finally - your site is loading the 'Bootstrap' script library. This is probably being done by the theme. The problem is that WordPress is built around the jQuery and jQuery UI libraries and Bootstrap is not 100% compatible with these. It will - for example - stop the SP file uploader from working.
