Hello,
I created a new forum, the Admin was able to post in the beginning, however all of sudden I cannot post with the Admin. I havent changed anything at all. I can click on reply but dont seem to have the option to write anything in the reply post.
I have created another normal account and with that account I am to to post/reply without issues. This screenshot of the permissions may help.

Things that happen 'all of a sudden' are very suspect...! Something has to change somewhere.
Can you go to your SP profile - click on the Permissions tab - select a forum you can not post to and click on the 'View' button.
There should be two items with a red cross and the rest should have green ticks. If this is not the case can you tell me which ones have red crosses.
And if this IS the case also go to the admin > toolbox > housekeeping and click on the option to reset user auths and see if that helps at all.

There are only 2 options that have red crosses and they are:
Can view only own posts and admin/mod posts
Can only reply to own topics

I have also just tried to edit a post. It gives me the options and opens the post but it doesnt let me change anything in the post

did you try the auths cache reset as requested?
and just to be sure, you are talking about an SP admin, right? not a WP admin... two different things with different permissions...

I havent tried anything yet.
The account that is having trouble posting is the WP admin and I assume the SP admin as well.

As I said, WP admins are NOT SP admins... a wp admin is just a regular SP user unless you grant them SP admin capabilities...
And if this WP admin used to be able to post and now cannot, what has changed? something must have...
you can see who SP admins are on forum - admins - manage admins...
