Hi all,
I do not understand what could happen.
I've performed automatic upgrades of SP and SP Plugins. Everything has gone well, except that now
- My Profile page
- Profile Tabs and menus settings (wp-admin->forum->Profiles->Profile Tabs and menus)
are empty pages. I mean even in the code, the profile page does show and gives no errors, but there's no the edit profile box with all the tabs inside.
Same is happening on the Profile tabs settings: setting page is there, but is empty. I just have the main box with the page option title "Profile tabs", and a sub-box with title "Profile Menu Order", the first "hint" text of this menu order, and then the submit button.
I've tried to overwrite all SP files with a manual FTP upload, but it doesn't change... maybe some other plugin corrupted? I do not understand! 🙁

Update
I've tried to rebuild the tables of the default profile using the toolbox
now 1 tab is visible, just one: the watches one and his sub "manage watches". Both in admin than in profile page.
then I've tried to deactivate all SP plugin: back to beginning, empty profile and empty profile tabs settings...
Then I've reactivated all of them: now I have 8 objects in profile tabs settings:
- buddies and adversaries
- - Manage Buddies
- - Manage Adv
- Subscriptions
- - Subscription Options
- - TOpic Subscription
- Watches
- - Manage Watches
to me it looks like witchcraft!

Last Update: Issue solved.
This is the procedure:
1) I've deactivated all plugins
2) I've rebuilt the default profile tabs with toolbox-> cleaning
3) profile is finally back at it's defaults
4) re-activated all SP plugins
I hope it can help others.

quite odd... especially since profile doesnt even know about the admin... of course, unable to remotely duplicate in tests tonight...

Papa maybe I was not clear. Actually there's some relations between profile and the profile tabs and menu settings, as this set the rules to show portions of profile (tabs)
but I agree on that is really odd... Especially because I've made the very same steps on 2 mirror sites (I have a clone version of the website under develpment) and this is happened just on one of the two sites!

Strangely I experienced the same problem:
- The tabs went missing from the admin screen (Profiles > Profile Tabs & Menus). Actually, the "Subscriptions" tabs was still there, but it was the only one left.
- The tabs went missing from the Profile front-end screen. (Again, except for the Subscriptions tab)
- AND I experienced this on one of two mirror sites. I maintain a mirror of the client site. Luckily the client site did not have the problem, but the mirror site did. Only difference in the upgrade procedure was that I FTPed the three new plugins on the mirror site. Whereas on the client site I installed the 3 new plugins by using the built-in plugin uploader.
Using bluantinoo's post above I fixed it by going into Toolbox > Houskeeping > Reset Profile Tabs (I did not de-activate/re-activate plugins). That brought back the profile tabs.

Sorry to hear you had this issue as well. As far as we are aware this has been limited to you folk here although others may not have reported it of course. We will look into it and try and understand why it happened but to be honest at the moment it is more a matter of head-scratching...

Hi all,
strangely I'm still dealing with this issue on another copy of that website (I've made a second mirror to work on in)
Without deactivating the sp plugins there's no way to make profile tabs coming back (as for Audrey)
so I still can say that my suggestion is valid.. but
but now there's a single tab that I cannot manage to make visible: the tab to subscribe entire forums.
I have the Subscriptions tab, but just 2 sub-tabs: Subscription Options and Topic Subscription... no forum subscriptions tab.
I tried many times even to delete and re-upload the subscription plugin (actually I've upgraded all plugins and SP core via FTP) but no luck!

it looks like no ending headaches loop! Any idea? It's frustrating
