HELP!
Re new install on http://REBTinfo.info
I FTP the simple-press folder to my plugin folder, as directed. It then shows in my list of plugins. Click "activate." Click "install." It goes through that lenghty install, then says install was successful. Click button to return to forum admin . . .
It takes me to a page that is asking for a new WORDPRESS install =>
http://rebtinfo.info/wp-admin/.....nstall.php
If I got through that process and click install, it just spins around and noting happens. Any version of my url redirects me to that install page.
Thank goodness, when I delete the simple-press folder via FTP, my site is functional again.
I am not technical. Please help.

Can you explain what you uploaded? What was uploaded? Directory name please....
Seems to be issue with the install since the path if wrong...
Can you see if sp actually installed? To do so, check your database via phpmyadmin on other tool and see if you now have a bunch of tables with sf**** type names...

Oh, Papa! This mess was over my pay grade, so I turned it over to a prof WP guy who has had a hell of time installing it as well, including consults with my host (FatCow), uninstalling, doing clean installations, installing on his server, etc.
Now, we have a partial install. That is in the dashboard, the "forum" links shows and when you click it, it takes you to the admin page. However, there are no subforoums such as
Forum
Options
Componets
Usergroups
etc.
And not that it bothers me, but there is no little megaphone icon next to the link.
Hope you can point us to sorting it quickly.

Whose account is he using? Keep in mind WP admins don't get sp admin access except for the account that installed... If you want to add more sp admins, you do so from forum - admins - manage admins... You can also control from there what the sp admins can do...
