Support Forum
Dear support,
After we updated to the latest version, the user profile changes are not saved anymore.
Steps:
- Go to the User profile
- Edit something, for example the signature
- Click to save
- Reload the page
You'll see that the signature was not updated.
Checking the Chrome Inspector -> Network I can see that there's an ajax call to index.php, but the reply from server is the whole homepage!
Already tried to disable the other plugins without success.
Thanks
when you updated to latest version, did you also update all our plugins with updates?
how did you update? wp updater or ftp? perhaps try going to forum - toolbox - housekeeping and clear the combined js and css cache...
do you have link to site?
Visit Cruise Talk Central and Mr Papa's World
Can you check with the browser console (quick and simple guide here: https://simple-press.com/docum.....r-console/)
Open the console and ensure the errors tab is selected - click on the forum profile button - note any errors shown in red). Click on profiles update button to see if any further errors are reported.

So perhaps access would be a god idea.
Please create an account we can use and then send credentials in a PM. Please:
- Send Pm to both my self and to @mr-papa
- Include the credentials for login
- Include a link to your forum page
- Include a link to this thread
- Include a brief reminder of the problem

OK - first thing we need to do, I think, is rule a few things out. This is not, of course, a general problem so we need to see what s unique about your environment that is causing this.
So first up is to check if your host has enabled mod_security on the server and if so, might there be a conflict causing the post action to be ignored. Usually, if they have, they are willing to disable it (then needs a server reboot) so you can test to see if this resolves it. If it does they can whitelist the call and then re-enable it. Mod_security is the number one bane of many a web developers life!

Well - a shame it was not that simple.
Somewhere along the line the AJAX looks like it is being ambushed. If this is the case then it should leave a trail in the server logs. Could you ask your hosting support to take a look - unless you can decipher them yourself of course?
