This looks like it might be the source of the original problem then - if you do not have ALTER rights to your tables that would cause the issue.
Before you do anything else - regardless of whether you opt to start over - you really do need to talk to your host and have them upgrade your database permissions. or - if you have cpanel at your host - you should be able to do this yourself.

One down, one more to go!
I uppdated the MySql premissions, and could use your script. Now I can change the premissions and everything on that front seems fine.
Now, when I'm logged in as admin this is what i see:

I even tryed to create a new forum, and a new group. They get created, but dosen't show in the front.

can you do something for me? Go to the forum admin > Toolbox > Error log. At the bottom of the error log list is a button to clear it. Click on that.
Now go back to the forum and load the front page.
back to the error log - is anything reported? Mainly looking for database errors...
