An RSS Query

I had the idea to enter the global RSS feed into the WP widget so in the sidebar it would list recent discussed topics.  I enabled all RSS then pasted the link but it's always saying there is an error or no feed now, maybe try later.  Roughly translated from french.

Then I tried pasting your own support forum RSS link (https://simple-press.com/suppo.....34f0f2e05/) and it worked.  What could be the problem?

did you handle the feed key properly? or even using it?

What do you mean by handle?  I disabled 'Enable feedkeys for private RSS feeds' so the global RSS feed link end with forum/rss/

When I click it, Firefox and IE9 know it's a feed but when I paste that into the WP RSS widget that I add into the sidebar, it does not work.  What's strange is that it work if I past your own support forum RSS link (https://simple-press.com/suppor…..34f0f2e05/).

I tried enabling the feedkeys but it didn't work either.

not sure what the other plugin is doing...  but the feed is valid?

when the page loads, can you view the source and see if anything there?

I believe it is valid, if I click it both browser show me it's a feed and some content.

When you have a minute, now that you got the URL to my site, please go click "Tous les flux RSS" button at the bottom.  The URL I get at the top is the one I copy and paste.  I tried installing a new plugin and it says No centent.  Why both browsers show me content when I click it but widgets don't see anything with the same URL?

Could it be that at the beginning I clicked Disable All RSS Feeds then even if I later enabled it, something was broke?  Dare to try here?  wink

can you tell me the text you are using for your blog description?  perhaps there is another translation issue with international characters...

all the site info is coming back empty...

also after trying to view the feed, take a look at forum - toolbox - error log for any related errors...

and you did look at each individual forum on forum - forums - mange groups and forums and make sure the rss feed is enabled?

No quote in there...  you're talking about the name and shot description we enter in WP General options, right?

all the site info is coming back empty...

What do you mean?

None, I try to keep and eye there so I take a look from time to time...

and you did look at each individual forum on forum - forums - mange groups and forums and make sure the rss feed is enabled?

Yes they are all enabled, the Global RSS Settings disable/enable all of them.

when you go to your global rss feed, view the page source... you will see the basic site info tried to put in the headers... but its all empty...  that is just wp info...

no other feed plugins that might be interferring?

do we still have ftp access? I could see what is going on in the feed generation code...
