I was in my site and across the top was a vertical box extending left to right, full, with a notice that some post or forum or whatever got modifed...I thought, this would be cool to have something like this that I could place in the forum, no matter where the members are, it shows up. Is this do able? ideas? make sense? great to announcing events and such....R

took about 45 mins tonight to write it... in testing... should release pretty close to 5.3 later this month...

Couldn't that be achieved by just writing something at the top of the page where the forum is implemented?

yes it can... but that does restrict it to the very top of the page...
after explaining it dozens of times, seemed easier to just create a quick plugin that allowed it to go anywhere in the page... and easily modified from the sp admin...
