Can we have a link to your site...
I realize now you may be asking amaky, but I have PM'd test moderator account credentials should you care to compare notes or try to replicate on our live site.

This is because IE is ignorant, stupid and chose to ignore standards... sorry, just telling it like it is...
because IE is stupid, you can allow for its idiocy by applying the changes here

Will get this specialized code just for IE (again!) in the next release... at least they fixed it in IE 9...

For the record, this fix did address the issue our IE9 user was reporting. The toolset does open up now – although it does so in the "lower left corner of the screen" – and she can use the tool links successfully now. So while this fix was supposedly for IE8, it appears to affect functionality in IE9 too, for the better. Let's hope it stays that way!
Anyway, idiocy indeed...

I had hopes it might help your IE 9 issue since I could not replicate that did not bring it up...
thanks for the update...

When will a build including IE 8/9 updates be released for us to upgrade?
For the record IE9 actually is quite standards complaint and out performs any other browser on the web. It's only downfall is it lacks a few CSS3 standards (transitions predominately). Opera and Safari have the best html5/css3 compliance. IE10 is excellent and possibly will be back on their game.
So like you're hearing all around. It would be great to get IE 7+ support back into your software. Certainly IE8+ at least.
When will this build be available?
Thanks,
Aaron

What IE 8/9 updates are you referring to? Is this the fix to the tools icon? If so then that will be in 5.0.5 which will be the next update probably coming along quite soon. If you are in a hurry then there is a link in one of the posts above to the code changes so you could apply them as Jim did.

I think everyone is hoping that IE10 will allow web developers everywhere to celebrate with a collective sigh of relief after all these years of mainly garbage. And yes IE9 is pretty good. I think that most people would argue with you that IE9 out-performs any other browser however. I have seen no stats to back that claim up and plenty that deny it.

'Like we are hearing all round'? I think this is the only thread. Oh - and the one you started where you said your users were finding SP unusable on IE which we are still waiting to hear all about.
When will this build be available?
There is no date set as yet but I very much doubt it will be that long - there is a lot building up in it.
Thanks,
Aaron

I'll wait for 5.0.5 then before installing. I'm finding it hard to keep track of my postings. It's be great if 'Subscribed to' would show up a number of new items in it ready for reading in the button text. I'll try and find the other post and reply. I still waiting on more detail from my users with IE8/9 as well.
Thanks
