we have some users who were created before we set up the forums and enabled the auto-subscribe. Is there a way to initiate auto-subscriptions for future forum postings? Even if we have to go into each record to subscribe them. Thank you

you have an option for new users to auto subscribe them on forum - components - subscriptions... but only for new users... for existing users, you will need to go their sp profile and enable the option... We cannot just do it for existing users because they may have already opted out of it...

Perfect. If we manually subscribe them, will they get posts even if they don't post anything to the forum? Or does it only send posts when the person has posted something first. Thanks

Just a thought - - no one has used the forums so no one would have opted out. Is there a way to do it globally for all users? Thanks

If they are subscribed to a forum, they will get all new posts to the forum... if subscribed to a topic, they will get all new posts in that topic...
If you want to apply it retroactive to existing users, you will need to use the Membership Subscribe plugin for SP... Here is a post on doing it: https://simple-press.com/suppo.....e/#p133304
