Hi -
I have everything configured now with SimplePress and it is AWESOME - thank you so much for building this fabulous forum!
The only outstanding thing I haven't been able to figure out is getting the avatar to display. I'd like to use BuddyPress for profiles and for users uploading their avatars, but these uploaded avatars aren't showing up in SimplePress. I've tried a few different configurations but it's still not working. Is this just because they're not integrated with respect to avatars? Is there a work around I might be able to use?

Also, one more quick question. I've looked in the documentation but could find the answer to this. If there are certain topics that I'd like to archive (hide from public display) but not delete, is that possible?

If you want to do that you could create a private forum accessible by only the people you allow. Then you could move the topic to that forum.

you can choose to use buddypress profile on forum - profiles - profile options... keep in mind though, that they wont have access to sp options...
does buddypress replace wp avatars? I seem to remember so... if that is the case, you can tell sp to use the wp avatars on forum - profiles - avatars... just make wp avatars the highest priority...

I've tried placing WP-Avatars as the highest priority,but still just see the default avatar image. Any other ideas for possible work arounds?

well that option was dependent on whether buddypress avatars were subsequently used in wp... does not sound like that is the case...
also, if you changed the priorities, make sure that you dont have the replace wp avatars with sp avatars also selected...
so if that doesnt work, then your only option would be to use the filter on our avatar api and replace it with the buddy press avatar assuming it has an api for getting/returning the avatar...

Hi -
Sorry for my delay on replying to this - got sidetracked from this fix. It didn't unfortunately work. I'd like to try the hook if possible, can you share that with me? Otherwise I will just have to have users upload their avatar twice, once in SimplePress and once in BP.
