I will take a look into optimising. The icons in Reboot are for the most part a lot lower in file size to other themes as they are 2 x colour with no anti-aliasing. However, as they are just block colour lowering the bit depth could improve things significantly. There isn't a lot else you can do to significantly lower the file size on images of this type and physical size that would result in a worthwhile size reduction.
Awesome, every little bit of speed helps. I've read that there are other options which may be better than using regular images? Is this something you guys plan on doing?

we have looked into a single glyph image or maybe font icons... but the size of all the images is very miniscule compared to the rest of the stuff loaded... more importantly, number of https requests will swamp the image size - which is where single glyph image could be beneficial...

In fact glyph support has been built in to the latest version of Simple:Press and is available for use in SP themes.

I'm still not able to upload an avatar? Clicking on browse does not do anything? Is this a setting that I have to check?

No special setting.. if you get the button you can upload...
this likely indicates a js or jquery conflict... see: https://simple-press.com/docum.....-conflict/
though you should not be caching forum pages or minimizing js on the page (since most plugins break the js if it is already minimized)... you can check for errors in your browser console..
if you want to pass a long a link to your forum, we can take a look for obvious conflicts...

I AM seeing an error being reported from CloudFlare. Can you try deactivating that and seeing if it makes any difference?

I don't know what that means but I am still seeing an error reported against cloudflare.min,js, The console doesn't actually describe what the error is just shows it up as one. But then cloudflare can cause a lot of probpems...
