I'm having a bit of difficulty getting the avatars correct, here's my setup:
SimplePress, Buddypress, and the buddypress integration plugin on. Supersocializer for social media login.
When people register, they can either click on the supersocializer icons to use facebook/twitter/google+, or they can click register which seems to bring them to the buddypress generated register page and then they use that process and verify with email.
The system seems to be pulling the avatars from social media correctly, but I think I have something odd in my setup, because I can't see anyone's social media avatar in the admin user screen. But the avatars seem to show up correctly in the posts.
So in short, I'd just like to know what the settings SHOULD be for this setup in profiles->avatar options, components->buddypress.
I want them to be able to upload their own if they use email to register or just choose to upload their own, and if they don't upload one, then I want the twitter/facebook/g+ avatar to be the one used.
I notice also that when I look at the members list (as admin) I don't see any avatars for the social media people, just blank spaces where the avatar should be. But if I go to a post by someone with a social media registration, their avatar is displayed in the left hand column as usual.
