Backing up forum data and stuff

Hi all, I was just wonder how does one goes about backing up their forum data?In case the forum goes down due to server stuff.  We would like to do backups copies of the forums every now and then.

just about any wp backup plugin will work... provided it lets you copy non wp tables which most do since other plugins add tables too... something like: http://wordpress.org/extend/pl.....db-backup/
