What version of Barebones are you using??  Version 1.0.3 of Barebones fixed this issue…  the compatibility of barebones and font resizer, that is…

but you can always adjust the base font size in the custom css area on forum – themes – custom css…  with something like

#spMainContainer {
    font-size: 100%;
}

just change the % to what you want….

Thanks for your suggestions.  I see that we have Barebones 1.0.2 instead.  So we can update that theme and try the Font Resizer again.

Or we may try the other method you offer here instead.

either or is fine…  font resizer allows users to pick the font size they like where as the global fix will be same for all…

And with Barebones of course, you an also change the base font size in the Barebones Customiser – as well as the main font name…

We need additional help specifically with these questions: 

1. How do we return the Topic Titles back to the original font size?  They became HUGE when we activated Font Resizer and then they remained the same after we both deactivated and removed the Font Resizer plugin from my dashboard. (see attached file)
2. Where do we find Barebones 1.0.3?  The download from your site today is 1.0.2.

Andy or Steve will need to answer regarding the version. I thought 1.0.2 was the latest available.

As for the size of the titles, after deactivating have you tried clearing your browser cache? Also your screenshot still shows the font resizer active, not sure if the screenshot was taken before of course.

hmmm.. we are going to need to see what is up…  1.0.3 should have been released… tickets done and what not..  and current working version is 1.0.4..  strange…

Okay, from our end… there are 2 of us working on this here in VT at 2 different locations, at 2 different times!   (SteveM and me, CathyW).

SteveM had uploaded the Font Resizer again today to see if it would work.  That is what Ike picked up on in the previous screenshot. 

Latest updates: 

1. I Deactivated Font Resizer again.  
2. Topic Titles are still HUGE and the regular font is TINY… see the attachment here.  This font resizer plugin totally changed my Topic Title size and it won’t go back to normal. We really need help with how to fix the Topic Titles size first!!
3. SteveM downloaded and uploaded Barebones again today hoping to get the version 1.0.3 for using the plugin (first time downloaded was Feb 19, 2016) and yes, it is version 1.0.2 that was given to us TODAY.  again.
4. We both tried using the Barebones Customizer to increase the font size … and unfortunately it doesn’t do anything … There is NO Change in the test.  

I would prefer to simply use the customizer and ditch the plugin.  If we can get the titles back to normal size and the customizer to work.

trying to recreate (if you will) barebones 1.0.3 and get it pushed out today… should help you a lot..

Also – just check forum admin > options > global settings – over on the right, Make sure you have the CSS cache turned off while you make adjustments. And also remember that some browsers really do hang on to CSS for a long, long time so you often need to empty the browser cache between each test of a change – or turn browser caching off while you adjust and change things.

And certainly the customiser works just fine here on my dev site. I tried changing it from 100 to 102% and had a nice but manageable bump in font size.

barebones 1.0.3 should be available now…

Wow guys, thank you so much for all this advice about the CSS cache and also for getting 1.0.3 of Barebones available for us!

I have cleared out my browser cache a bunch, but not aware of the top mentioned feature.

We will work more on this tomorrow.
