Basic configuration questions from a Newbie

Hi there,

I am setting up a brand new installation of Simple:Press and would like to know how to do a couple of things...

(1) Is there a way to turn off the math "captcha" that appears whenever a forum member wants to add a new post or thread? My forum is contained within a member area that is already access-protected. So I don't need a math captcha, and it might actually turn-off some of my members.

(2) Where do I change the setting to allow my forum members to upload/attach images to their forum posts?

(3) How do I turn on emoticons/smileys so that all of my forum members can see them and use them in their posts? I'm not referring to custom emoticons. I just want to use the basic set that comes with Simple:Press. Right now, the only person who can see emoticons is my forum administrator.

(4) How do I turn on the "options bar" that appears below the forum post composition field? For example, as I am typing this post, there is a bar beneath it with the following options -- Smileys, Options, Attachments, Tags, Preview, Cancel, Submit Topic. This particular bar does not appear in the forum as installed on my website. Where do I go to turn it on?

Thanks so much!

Best regards.

1 - its a permission...  for users you dont want to have it, turn on the bypass post math question...

2 - first you have to have the file uploader plugin for sp... once you have it, its again a permission... you can allow users to upload images, media and files - or any combination...

3 - make sure the users have the permission to use smileys enabled for them...

4 - have you enabled the integrate toolbar on forum - options - general display settings?

Many thanks, Mr. Papa!

Simple-Press has so many helpful and powerful features that learning where to turn config settings off/on for each of them will take a bit of time. Thank you for short-cutting my learning curve.

Best regards.
