Support Forum
Btw, since my earlier post after new installation of sp I cannot even access the forum page at all right now, i.e., I am right there, where I was before I deinstalled sp. And I did not work on the code at all. I realise now, that this seems to be a wp problem. I used Joomla before and heard over and over about the so much superior wp and now this. This must be annoying to sp developers, when basic things do not properly work because of wp problems. Any normal user would have quit long before. I really like sp. Hope you can solve this issue for me.
As the problem started, when I tried to fix the German mo-translations, a word about that (maybe this is of interest to you)
1. Approved German glottpress translations are sometimes akward.
2. Approved German translations have quite a number of mistakes, also grammatical mistakes. E.g., it seems that the German comma rules are not known.
3. German word order is different from English word order. This results in impossible translations when a variable like the username is between text strings. In this case you cannot simply translate text strings, you must complete reword the text to make a readable sentence, without changing the code structure to accomodate for the German word order.
This just to inform you that the current German localization sheds a bad light on sp. I cannot let users face a forum with such basic mistakes. I also noticed that the German translations of the user profile page are in the mo-file, but they are not displayed on the user profile page. Thus, currently it is not possible to present the user profile page in German.
so back to another question... any other login, registration or user plugins?
wp most definitely requires a logout nonce (ie http://wordpress.org/support/t.....nt-log-out) but many, many topics on this... where is this logout link? is it in the forum? or elsewhere?

No login, registration or other user plugin used. Yes, I realized that there are many topics on this logout nonce issue on very different levels. The logout link is in the forum, the one the registered user clicks to logout. The real bad thing is now that I cannot even access the forum page anymore as mentioned before, see: http://pensta.net/
Thanks for hanging in there. I however did not send a PM with my login credentials. Whatever, if you need to have a look at my site this is okay.
Your are right. As mentioned before, I deinstalled SP, but I did not create up to this point any forum. The logout problem does not need a forum to solve it. I can add forums so some tests can be made (I am in the process to get this website going, so nothing really is lost, just about a week's time trying to solve the problem on my own).
When I am logged in on the site admin and I go to the acutal site via the top WP admin bar on the left I get the actual site with the admin bar at the top indicating that I am still logged in. It seems that we have a different behaviour.
The jQuery issue I cannot comment on. If this should be the problem, is there a way to find out, which themes are complining with WP coding rules? If I really have to switch to a new theme I don't want to run into the same problem.
I am not aware of anything called Quick Post Widget. I did not add something like this to WP. So I do not need to load what I did not add. I am not sure if the tinyMCE editor comes with WP or if you refer to the SP Plugin. Whatever, what you described I do not need.
As I recall I started to work with SP on WP with the current theme for maybe two weeks. I installed WP, the theme and then SP. I added some forums to get used to the system. I had no problem at all. Then I started to localize SP into German, first by adding the German mo-files but realized that the provided mo-files are of bad quality as mentioned above. I improved the translations with a po-editor. As I recall, up to that point I had no problems. Then I realized that you cannot thoroughly localize SP as there is still hardcoded text in the code. Here I began the first time to work on the code and did not have any problems (just replacing strings). In this process I also adapted the English default avatar images to German. After I had replaced them, the problems started.
From my knowledge of programming this should all not result in what we have now. Particularly that after reinstalling SP completely the same issue pops up again and right away. This persistent different behaviour in comparison to the early stages of my work suggests to me that there is now something wrong within WP and this most likely resides in the database, which would explain that I cannot get rid of it, as WP itself was not reinstalled.
If I have to reinstall WP and have to use another theme and adapt it to my particlular layout, I can do it, but I would be calming if I would know, if this really will sort out the problem. But without knowing the problem a simple reinstallation may end up at the same point where we are now.
What puzzles me ist the fact that after reinstalling SP I had the forum logout problem but had no problem to access the forum. It worked fine for an hour with numerous switches to the forum and back to the main site. Only later, without any changes from my side suddenly I could not access the forum anymore.
My suggestion: I will delete SP again. Please, correct my deleting process desribed above, if necessary, so that we get rid off all SP components. This should allow us to access the forum again after reinstallation and you might be able to see how the problem evolves as you log in and log out.
I uninstalled SP and installed it again. As before no problem so far when switching from forum to site and back. When you hover over the log out button in the forum you will see in the status row of the browser that the wpnonce value is there. Clicking the log out button will produce a blank page. I assume that repeated log in and log outs will eventually produce the problem that the forum cannot be loaded at all. The first thing should therefore be to get this log out nonce to work. If this works it might also not produced the error that the forum eventually cannot be loaded. I am not a programmer, but it feels that the nonce-value is confusing the system. And the first place to make sure that the nonce thing is working properly is the log out problem.
I apologise. That whole post was intended for someone else and I confused the user names. Really sorry and I have removed it.
To get rid of SP completely then either turn on the uninstall option in the admin > toolbox or select the uninstall option against the SP plugin in the Wp plugins list. This will remove all data.
When you are back up and running then a visit to the site sounds like it would be the best move.

Complete blank. New developments. I started to add just the PM plugin. And what a surprise: There is no logout problem anymore. To repeat:
New installation: Logout problem remains
Adding all plugins: Forum page goes blank
Adding just PM: The whole system works as it should. Logout perfect, forum access perfect.
Well, well. I am looking further into the issue.
