Hi,

I am trying to block access to a group I have setup. I set the permission to be No Access, the default, so I did not change any of the No Access settings.

I verified it is No Access at the group level. But when I log off, and go to the forum, all the forums are readable.

The forum is under http://www.psocdeveloper.com/forum, and the forum group is the last one: Archived and Locked

You can access one of the forums in this group from here directly: http://www.psocdeveloper.com/f.....blic-beta/

Thanks,

Haz

you say you set permission to no access... what user groups did you do that for?  if logged off, it should be guests...  any usergroup you want to have no access (assuming its permissions are correct) would have to be paired with that permission set and the forum...

I assume if you look at the no access permission set, none of the items have a check mark?  based on what is seen, looks like view forum is true at least... but cannot create topics or posts...

This is what I have set on the permission screen and the forum. I think this is what you are referring to.

Can you let me know if there is something else I am missing? I just want to make it either not accessible/readable, or just make it invisible. I just don't want to delete it.

thanks,

Haz

those images are just to small to really read... but the first one is not helpful either... its the edit group forum...  it does not show us what the permissions for any forum are - it just shows the default permissions that will be applied to any new forums created within that group...

we really need to see the permissions for a forum...

so pick any of the forums where you think there is access... same admin panel, but instead of editing a group, click the Forum Permissions button for a specific forum.. it will let us see what user groups and permission sets are assigned to that forum...

for reference:  http://codex.simple-press.com/.....ng-access/
