When I try to break up the forum link and update the page it all goes back to the way it was before breaking the link. In other words, it's not working for me anymore. Something that was neglected on an update along the way?

Nothing known so I will have to do some testing, Leave it with me and I will get back to you.
Can you tell me where you are trying to break the link? In the WP Post writing screen? The forum toolbox? Just so I can test the same method you are using...

OK - I can confirm that breaking the link on the WP posts screen is no longer functioning. Apologies for that. I think it is an AJAX problem that may well have been introduced in 5.7.2.
I have opened a report and it will be fixed. Meanwhile - if you need to break links - can you use the forum tools. Go to forum view (list of topics in a forum), select the topic you wish to break the link of and open up the forum tools. The break link on the forum tools is working.
