Hi.
I want to change the template of the site. Bought a new template, but ran into a problem with the simple-press. The forum can not click on the button "Add Topic". No effect. Maybe you can help me advice on how to fix it.

Here's my test site.

your site is throwing js errors...  mainly a facebook connect plugin...

plus a lot of inline js loaded using the $ namespace which can conflict with wp...

so if you do a temp switch to the default wp theme, does it work?

Yes, the forum works fine now on an old theme. But I noticed that the problem is encountered. On some forum threads is not working. And it looks like this as I have described above.
Damn, how can I determine the purchase - will be your forum to work or not? laugh

the vast majority of up to date wp themes that follow the wp standards and api will be compatible with simple press...  we are just another page to them...

but if the theme loads their own versions of jquery or other js that ships with wp, or is not up to date with wp could pose a problem for any plugin...

I dont know of any way to see if a theme is properly coded and update without looking at the code....  have you checked for any reviews on the theme?

I asked the author directly on the compatibility with SimplePress, but as always, was the standard response - ma can not guarantee compatibility with all plugins. A vicious circle. cry

It is...  but no way any theme or plugin other can test and verify compatibility with every other theme or plugin...  safest way is for each theme and plugin author to follow the wp standards and api... but alas, not everyone does...

but even if the theme ends up with problems, we can usually overcome them...
