Something's up. Can't seem to get anything posted, others can't PM me....buttons don't work on my forum....
When I click on any, it says:
javascript:void(null)
On the lower left....did I break something?

To save me typing most of it out again can I just ask you to take a look at this FAQ: https://simple-press.com/docum.....ort-topic/
It will be down to something changed as that FAQ says...
Ans the javascript:void is just fine - as it should be.

thanks. Tried the error thing, nothing.
Next, as they suggested on the Codex FAQ link, I clicked it and, well, lost me...so I emailed my tech guy.....wait and see... (beyond my skillset at that point....)

well - we will always take q quick look at the console for you if you want. But the real key is what might have changed at a site level - other plugins, new plugins, theme update etc.
Or maybe updated WordPress? - and that could cause issues as a lot of themes in particular missed WP changes some of which have stopped SP buttons from working as you describe.

also, if you using the combined js cache, perhaps go to forum - toolbox - page and permalink and try clearing the cache...

I went to Toolbox, can't see the- page and permalink section.

Sorry for the delayed response.
Not sure why @mr-papa called it that. He meant the 'reset combined script cache' at Toolbox > housekeeping.
We can certainly look at the page. If needed then please PM credentials to both myself, to 'Mr Papa' and to 'Ike'. Please include in the PM a link to your site, a link to this thread and brief reminder of the problem. And one of us will take a look for you.
If we can see the forum and topics as guests then just the forum link will do but we will need to see what happens when we click on a button.
