Support Forum
this is a time-sensitive topic so if anyone or Admin can respond quickly that would be wonderful!
We recently changed the name of our website (going from devel phase to getting ready to go live phase) and after the name change the Simple:press forum buttons haven't worked. I am able to get into a few things but for example when I click on "create new group" the page does absolutely nothing. I can't get in there to actually do anything.
I did do these steps as suggested by support:
- Create a new page with whatever title and slug you prefer (the default at install is ‘forum’)
- Then proceed to the forum admin > Integration > Page and Permalink
- Select the new page n the drop down list at the top
- Update the admin panel using the button at the very bottom of the form
- Finally update the forum permalinks with the button in the middle of the form
But that didn't change anything. I then uninstalled, deleted, then downloaded a new copy from the Simple:press site, uploaded.....nothing changed. The few users I had added before the website name change did populate when I reinstalled the new copy, so I am guessing the new copy wasn't the one installed, even though I had uninstalled/deleted/deactivated the old one.
This forum is supposed to go live on Monday, so I am sending all my good karma into finding an easy quick cure by Friday. TIA for any assistance!
If it is not simply a permalink issue and buttons fail then you probably have a javascript conflict with another component on your website. Open the browser console and check for errors when you try to perform one of the non-functioning actions. If there are errors shown you will need to track them down.

any caching? or use of our combined js cache? for detailed support, please open a ticket in the support forum as this is a per sales query forum, not a support forum... it appears you do have a current membership, so perhaps just opened it in the wrong forum...
